The Municipality of Altivole, in collaboration with the Province of Treviso, has contributed to the celebrations of the Scarpiano Year (2006 – centenary of the birth of Architect Carlo Scarpa) with the production of a brochure to be made available to visitors at the Brion Memorial in San Vito.
The Municipal Administration’s need to produce an agile descriptive tool and the Province of Treviso’s interest in implementing the tourist material offer of the “Strada dell’Architettura” circuit made a useful collaboration between territorial bodies possible, in order to concretely promote and enhance the historical-artistic heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The texts by architect Guido Pietropoli, which accompany the visitor on a personal journey through the monument, are combined with reprints of the shots of San Vito, which Carlo Scarpa himself commissioned from photographer Enrico Renai, for a precious publication he personally edited in a print run of only two hundred copies (Memoriae causa<\/em> – Verona 1977).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
