The municipality of Altivole contributed to the production of the video directed by Riccardo De Cal and featuring the participation of Maestro Mario Brunello.
Concrete Bach, in fact, is a project born from an intuition of the Maestro, one of the greatest interpreters of Bach’s music, and who has always been fascinated by the Brion Memorial. In the film, Maestro Brunello interprets Bach’s work inside the complex. Under the watchful eye of De Cal, the film produces a skilful combination of music, architecture and cinematic art.
Concrete Bach also compares two extraordinary works: J.S. Bach’s Chaconne and the Memorial itself. The Chaconne and the Brion Memorial represent, in their respective arts, two lofty forms of expression: both works explore the theme of life and death, giving a sense of eternity through the beauty and artistry of their creation.
The film was presented in 2023 at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia and was later shown in San Vito di Altivole, near the Brion Memorial in addition to a series of guided tours of the full moon.
